Celebrate Aberdeen

Client

Celebrate Aberdeen 2015.

Objective

To raise awareness of all that is good about Aberdeen’s music and arts scene, with a dual focus on promoting the city’s third sector organisations.

Brief

Combine the colourful Celebrate Aberdeen third sector parade, first held in 2011, with the weekend of music and performance, following in 2014, to encourage a spirit of inclusion and engagement.

Outcome

Thousands turned out as Union Street was transformed into a sea of colour for the third sector parade – accompanied by music and dance. Following the parade Union Terrace Gardens served as a hub for an array of performances in the gardens and other neighbouring locations, giving local artists a stage for their many talents.

With support from Northsound Radio and the Lord Provost George Adam amongst others, the Granite City united for the weekend to celebrate the rich culture and charitable spirit which makes it such a special place.
